Jan Doldersum & Son

Just been reading an article on Red Star lofts regarding the Jan Dolderum & Son partnership in Holland. They have just won 1st NPO Niergnies, against 7,989 birds flying 342km. This pigeon is a Granddaughter to 'Superbreedster 005'. We purchased the very last son to be sold from 'Superbreedster 005' in early 2016. At the time Enrico commented 'I hope that there will be great results in the UK with the sold pigeons. 005 is my best breeding hen ever. The pigeon in auction is the last one ever sold on internet ever, you are a lucky man.' He is currently in our stock loft and is known as 'Rasull Super-B'! Please see our stock page for more details.

The winning pigeon NL16-1135752 now known as “Lightening” and was 1st NPO Niergnies against 7,989 birds from 342km with a velocity of 1595mpm.
“Lightening” is a grandson of the “SUPERBREEDER 005” mother and grandmother to 11 x top ten NPO winners and he is bred down from a long line of top NPO and National winning pigeons.
Below is a small sample of outstanding performances in the pedigree of “Lightening”.

Tenny Tipper / Rasbull Partnership

Just to keep you informed how are youngsters are doing with Tenny Tipper this season. We gifted 19 young birds to Tenny this season for him to race and try out our new pairings. Tenny has split them into 2 groups. 12 in the main group and 7 that will catch the comebacks.

To date this season Tenny has raced two races and I am pleased to say that out of the first group of Rasbull birds Tenny sent 44 birds in total to the first race with his first bird being a Rasbull pigeon '03' who also finished 13th Club. It was bred out of 'Rasbull Ace Combine' when paired to 'Rasbull 02'. This bird is a grandchild of our No.1 stock cock 'Rasbull Semtex'. In the 2nd race once again it was the Rasbull birds that were clocked first for Tenny with '02' leading the way to secure 8th Club. This one was bred out of 'Rasbull Tomahawk' when paired to 'Rasbull 01'. This again is another Grandchild of 'Rasbull Semtex'.

This is a great start to the season and I am sure there will be far more results achieved with some super birds. I am sure Tenny will be keen to close the gap on his club mates in the weeks to come.

I can also confirm we will be sending a team of 3 birds to the Derby Arona Race in September and these will be direct out of 'Rasbull Semtex' himself! I am very keen to see how these get on as the mother of these birds is 'Rasbull Nefertiti'.

I will keep updating as news and results are passed to me!

Update

Just a quick update to say that Tenny Tipper has received 19 young birds from us this year and will be racing them in the coming season in the Rhondda Valley Federation. We have finished breeding now and will putting the birds in a mixed section where they will have access to the aviary and bath.
We will update the site throughout the young bird season with details of how the young birds get on in the races. Anyone who would like youngsters from a specific pair that you would like to me put together please get in touch and we can sort something out. All birds are listed on the stock section but ignore the pairings now as the birds have been split. Quote from Tenny Tipper '11 & 12 stunners!'. Those youngsters were bred from 'Rasbull Rameses' who cost us £650 from Koen Van Roy. So if you would like a pair out of this cock please let me know! Rasbull@hotmail.co.uk for anyone interested.

Breeding Update

Breeding has been busy this year to date. Tenny Tipper has had two batches of youngsters from us with 6 going in the first batch which were purchased via the Rhondda Valley Fed Breeder Buyer. A further 6 went in the second batch. We currently have 10 in the nest and all of these will also go to Tenny to test out as young birds. That will be 22 youngsters and hopefully they can perform very well for him in the R.V Federation.

Good news from Ireland where Eamon Wright was racing a Grandson of 'Rasbull Semtex'. It was his first bird home and he finished 2nd Club in the Irish National from 304 miles. This cock previously raced in the Pigeon Pixels One Loft Race in 2015 and finished 3rd Open - 4th Hotspot Pigeon Pixels One Loft Race 2015 - 124 miles. The 'Semtex' lines are performing very well with limited raced to date. This bird was bred out of 'Rasbull 01' (currently in our stock loft) who raced for Eamon Wright in 2014 and scored 5th Hotspot, 103 miles Pigeon Pixels One Loft Race 2014, 14th Open Final Pigeon Pixels One Loft Race 2014, 176 miles, 6th Club, 195th Irish National 2014, 3,782 birds, 230 miles.

Great start to Rasbull/Tipper partnership!

A good start to the Rasbull/Tipper partnership with Tenny's first bird in the first race of the season being a Rasbull Rocket 2 year old cock. Tenny finished 3rd club from 97 birds. Onwards and upwards for our partnership....I am sure there will be plenty of red cards this coming season when Tenny takes receipt of youngsters from all 8 pairs of our stock birds!

Update 3rd April 2016

All our new introductions have settled in well. We have them all down on youngsters or eggs apart from one pair who are due to lay shortly.
We have teamed up with Tenny Tipper for the coming season and he will be racing our youngsters to test them out in the Rhondda Valley Federation.
6 have been entered into the Penywaun Breeder Buyer where very decent prize money will be flown for each young bird race throughout the season. We are sure Tenny will test the youngsters out fully and hopefully this partnership can be continued in the seasons ahead.
We also plan to send a team to the Derby Arona for next years race. We were planning on sending a team to the Algarve Golden race but due to the timing of our breeding we will be unable to meet the deadlines for shipping for this season. I will update when more news becomes available.

New introductions and loft finished!

The loft modification has now been completed. Everything is now in order to proceed with the new venture of the specialist breeding loft. 7 compartments each capable of housing 2 pairs of breeders. As you can see the loft is transformed from the old racing loft to the purpose built unit for breeding champion racing pigeons.

We have also purchased 3 birds direct from Holland from Doldersum & Son. We have spared no expense and purchased a direct daughter to their top stock hen ' 005 Superbreedster'! We are absolutely delighted to purchase this hen and I am sure she will prove her worth in the coming years in the breeding loft. Please see below some details from the lofts we have purchased:-

As you can see they really are a top quality loft and 1st Provincial Champions Middle Distance 2015 competing against 2,200 members! They are also 1st Overall Federation Champions Short and Middle distance2015!

I have updated the whole website and the new purchases can be found on our 'Stock Bird' section along with copies of the pedigrees (they really are full of champion pigeons with outstanding results.

The birds will now be paired and settled into their compartments. We will be offering youngsters this year from all the birds we have introduced to the loft. Please email Rasbull@hotmail.co.uk for more information.

Long Time!!

Wow, its been a long time since I last updated this blog!

I will start by staying Rasbull Lofts is back on track and a major development has been undertaken in the loft. We have been very busy over the last few weeks revamping the loft. We have completely gutted the inside of the loft and have purpose built 7 sections capable of holding 2 pairs each. We are now solely a breeding loft and have been keen to get the loft kitted out for the years ahead. Please have a look below of the changes.

We have 12 children from 'Rasbull Semtex' (please see stock birds on main site) currently in the loft and these will be paired to very selected partners that we will be introducing in the near future. Two new hens have been purchased and will be arriving tomorrow. These are from S & P Kulpa. They are nestmate's and are pictured below.

I will update when new additions are introduced to the loft and will provide details of the One Loft Races which we will be entering this season.

Pigeon Pixels One Loft Race - Hotspot 1

Not a bad start for Rasbull Semtex's two Grandchildren. 03062 finished 7th Open and under 4 minutes behind the winner and 03063 finished in 26th Open. These birds excel in the longer distances so to have one up in the result from 103 miles is pleasing. Hopefully they can go close again in tomorrows Hotspot, but they have been sent to perform at the Nationals as opposed to the sprint races in the early Hotspots.
Please have a look at www.Pigeonpixels.co.uk for all information, news and results on the race.

All set for next year!

It has been a very quiet year at the lofts, but big plans have been laid down for next year. We have only bred a very select amount of birds. 3 went to the Pigeon Pixels One Loft Race in Ireland and we have bred 8 for our own stock loft purposes.

In the loft we now have built a whole stock team around just 1 bird - Rasbull Semtex. We have 5 children from him (50% his blood), another 6 from him when paired to his own daughter (75% his blood) and 2 double grandchildren from him (50% his blood). So 11 children in total and 2 double grandchildren. We also have Rasbull Semtex himself, so 14 very closely related and all our pairs for next year will consist of these birds. We aim to fully test the youngsters they breed and will then go forward from there. Breeding has now finished for this year and we have just 3 left in the nest boxes. I will update as news from the Pigeon Pixels One Loft Race comes through as these are Grandchildren from Rasbull Semtex also. Keep an eye out for news on Pigeon Pixels Forum!! www.Pigeonpixels.co.uk

Rasbull Semtex - Proving himself at stock!

In the Irish National one of our entries from 'Rasbull Semtex' once again flew very well recording 6th Club, 195th National with 3782 birds. This cock has excelled since we purchased him in 2012.

He won the following racing himself:-

1st Club, 2nd Section, 1,438 birds, 3rd Federation, 3,652 birds - 86 miles

4th Open Jubilee Race Welsh Region, 500+ miles.

He has bred the following birds with us since 2012:-

3rd Open - Pigeon Pixels One Loft Race 2013 - 176 miles.

80th Open - Final Somerset One Loft Race 2013 - 265 miles

4th & 5th Open- 1st Hotspot Pigeon Pixels One Loft Race - 103 miles

5th Open - 2nd Hotspot Pigeon Pixels One Loft Race - 103 miles

7th Open - 4th Hotspot  Pigeon Pixels One Loft Race - 124 miles

4th & 7th Open - 5th Hotspot Pigeon Pixels One Loft Race - 156 miles

4th & 9th Ace Bird - Pigeon Pixels One Loft Race 2014

6th Club, 195th National - 230 miles, 3782 birds

The thing that makes this cock stand out is that only 7 youngsters from him have been entered into races by us!! Next year we are planning to develop the whole loft around this cock and hopefully we will see some more fantastic performances from his children and grand children!

Pigeon Pixels One Loft Race Final

Great news for Rasbull Lofts and our breeding programme!

We finished 6th Open in the Final of the Pigeon Pixels One Loft Race 2014 with WHU14T 05302. The bird also finished 4th Ace Bird. This pigeon was bred from our No.1 stock pair in their first year pairing!

In addition to this bird we sent her nest mate who finished 13th Open in the final. We also sent another full sister to these to compete in this years event and she finished 9th Ace Bird. Between them they won 4th, 4th, 5th, 5th, 7th, 7th Hotspot, add to that the 6th Open in the Final and the 4th & 9th Ace Birds and I am over the moon!

I am very pleased with this as the sire of this bird 'Rasbull Semtex' also bred the 3rd Open in last years final so some very good genes to be working with in our stock loft!

Pigeon Pixels One Loft Race

Our birds once again performed well in the 4th Hotspot in the Pigeon Pixels One Loft Race from 124 miles. '02' finished 7th Open and '01' 13th Open. In the 5th Hotspot from 156 miles they improved again with '06' being 4th Open and '02' finishing 7th Open. The birds we sent to Ireland have performed very well up to now. They were all bred from our top stock pair and after 5 Hotspots have been:- 4th, 4th, 5th, 5th, 7th, and 7th. I am very pleased with these performances considering these birds are bred for the longer distances. The final is on Saturday 23rd August and I strongly fancy their chances from 176 miles but my bigger hopes lay in the Irish Nationals after the One Loft series has finished. '02' is sitting joint 3rd in the Ace Bird standing and '06' is sitting in joint 6th. When you consider 60 birds were entered I am very pleased with how these birds have come given the first time pairing of their parents. Hopefully all 3 birds will produce something special come the final race.
Another fancier doing well with my pigeons is Tenny Tipper in Aberdare. Tenny had birds off me at the start of the season and he still has 4 in his race team. Last week Tenny clocked '14' to be his first bird and finish 6th Club. I will post up the results Tenny achieves with these birds as the season progresses.

One Loft Updates

The 2nd Hotspot in the Pigeon Pixels took place on Friday 25th July 2014 and our 3 entries once again did well. We finished 5th, 16th and 26th from the 44 sent. All 3 are from our top pair here at Rasbull Lofts and hopefully they will continue to secure decent performances throughout the series. So far 05301 has been 4th, 05302 has been 5th and 05306 has been 5th in the 2 races that have been held! This pair are proving to be capable of producing very good birds!

Our entries in the Welsh Classic Challenge are progressing very nicely and all 5 remain in the lofts of B.Williams and Son (double BICC winners)! Racing is beginning very shortly so will be interesting to see how our birds perform. We have our top youngsters down their this year from our 3 best pairs so fingers crossed they will perform very well.

We will continue to update this page with news as and when it happens! All news is also featured on Pigeon Pixels forum. Please visit www.Pigeonpixels.co.uk

We will be monitoring the market from now until December to ensure we obtain at least one very good addition to our stock loft. The new policy is going very well but you can't stand still and need to continue introducing outstanding birds to the loft as they become available.

5 sent to the Welsh Classic Challenge

I took our 5 entries to B.Williams & Son this morning for the Pigeon Pixels Welsh Classic Challenge. Hopefully they will do very well over the next couple of years. I also saw our remaining entry from last year now settled in the Widowhood loft. I am assured he is totally bonkers and hopefully he will produce some good results this year. I know Ant is planning on sending him to the BICC in a couple of weeks time so fingers crossed he will do well.

Breeding has gone very well

Breeding has gone exceptionally well here at Rasbull Lofts this year, with the quality of the bird bred amongst the highest we have had. The youngsters are in outstanding condition and a picture of health. We have sent 4 entries over to Ireland for the Pigeon Pixels One Loft Race. These are 4 brothers and sisters from our No.1 pair and we are expecting big things from these in the coming series. We have 5 weaned off and these will go to B.Williams and Son for the Welsh Classic Challenge. We have a further 9 then in the nest which we have not decided yet where these will go.
Our entries in the Welsh and Irish Classic Challenge from last year have made a positive start to this season with 10135 who finished 3rd Open Pigeon Pixels One Loft Race in 2013 has had 2 races and 10126 in the Welsh Classic Challenge has today had his first race of the season. Hopefully as the distance increases their performances will improve.
