Loft Changes

There has been significant changes to the loft today. I have been debating for a while whether or not to extend the number of breeding pairs we house at Rasbull Lofts. The loft underwent a huge renovation just last year to convert the whole loft to 7 individual breeding pens. However, I have decided 7 pairs was not going to be enough and ideally would have a few more pairs. So today, I spent all day ripping out 2 of the individual pens and creating a much larger section which can now house 6 pairs. I am pleased to say we can now comfortably house 11 pairs at the lofts. We have highlighted several new additions to the loft which is the main reason for the changes and we hope to introduce them to you in the next few months. We are now fully set for a great breeding season. We will be pairing up on the 1st December and hopefully will be breeding 4-5 rounds.

Another Great Result

Another great performance and result for Tenny Tipper today in the Maerdy Midweek Club. He clocked 03311 to finish 2nd Open with the same pigeon that was 2nd Club on Saturday! This is the bird that broke his leg earlier in the season and was having only his 7th race today! He has now scored 2nd Club, 68 birds and 2nd Open 180 birds in less than a week!

He is a Grandson of Rasbull Semtex and his father is a direct Koen Van Roy 'Rasbull Rameses':-

Full Brother to 'Lucky Daisy' 6 x 1st, 30th National La Souteraine 16,665 birds. Dam to 'Linda' 20 x 1st, 1st Provincial Ace Bird Middle Distance 2015. 6th National Ace Bird Middle Distance KBDB 2015. Nestmate to 'Linda' 4 x 1st.
Half Brother to 'Blue Dromer' 4 x 1st. Dam to 340/11 'Zwarte Olympiade', 1st Olympiade Ace Bird Nitra Cat A 2013. 1st Provincial Ace Bird Middle Distance KDBD 2012. 3rd National Ace Bird Middle Distance KBDB 2012. Granddam to 'Dromer 104' 18 x 1st, 2nd Provincial Ace Bird KBDB 2015, 7th National Ace Bird Middle Distance KBDB 2015.

Grandson 'Blue Ace' 2nd National Ace bird Long distance & Grandsire 1st National Argenton

The Young bird National from Hythe is Friday and 03311 will be sent to this with high expectations of achieving a very good result. He has had 7 races but not flown further than 74 miles so it is going to be a big step up in trip for him. Hopefully he can pull it off!

2nd & 3rd Club - Rasbull/Tipper

Tenny sent 3 Rasbull pigeons to the race today in the Rhondda Valley Fed and they were his first 3 birds home once again. He clocked 2 of them to record 2nd and 3rd Club from 68 birds sent. Another fantastic performance from the Rasbull birds. Both the 2nd Club and 3rd Club winning pigeons were Grandchildren from 'Rasbull Semtex'. Our No.1 stock cock really is throwing out winning pigeons galore! Check out his profile on the stock page of our website:- http://rasbull-lofts.co.uk/Rasbull%20Semtex.html

16T 03311 who was 2nd Club today was only having his 3rd race due to breaking his leg earlier in the season. This bird is bred from Rasbull Rameses who was purchased direct from Koen Van Roy in February. Rasbull Rameses is a Full Brother to 'Lucky Daisy' 6 x 1st, 30th National La Souteraine 16,665 birds and is Dam to 'Linda' 20 x 1st, 1st Provincial Ace Bird Middle Distance 2015. 6th National Ace Bird Middle Distance KBDB 2015. Nestmate to 'Linda' 4 x 1st. The dam of 03311 is Rasbull 67 who is an inbred daughter to Rasbull Semtex.

16T 03310 who was the pigeon who would probably have won the midweek club on Wednesday had the clock been set finished 3rd Club today to continue his good form. This cock is bred out of Rasbull 27 who is a son of Rasbull Semtex when paired to the Rasbull Aquaflight who was 2nd Open Somerset One Loft Race winning £6,000! The dam of 03310 is Rasbull Kulpa 951 who is another bird we introduced this season into the stock loft with her being a full sister to 4 x 1st Federation winners!

The birds are now performing fantastically well for Tenny Tipper with the Rasbull birds regularly being his first 3 or 4 birds in his team.

Another fine performance!

Tenny raced the Rasbull birds again today. He sent 11 birds in total including 3 Rasbull birds. They once again performed very well coming 1st, 3rd and 4th to the loft. Once again all 3 were Gandchildren to Rasbull Semtex. Sadly Tenny did not have the clock set for this race due to mix up but based on early times they would have achieved a very decent Open result.
There are now just 3 races left this season with a short race in the Fed this weekend, followed by another short race in the Maerdy midweek club. This is then followed by Hythe which is a National race. Hopefully the Rasbull birds can put up a decent end to the season.

We have sent 3 entries over to the Derby Arona One Loft Race in Tenerife. They were shipped on Tuesday and arrived safely in the loft today. Two of these birds were direct out of Rasbull Semtex when paired to Rasbull Nefertiti who is direct from Koen Van Roy in Belgium. The pedigree of this hen is something to behold and I have high hopes for these birds. The third is from our Kulpa pigeons we introduced to the stock loft earlier this year when paired to an inbred son of Rasbull Semtex. It will be interesting to see how our birds perform in the coming race series.

Well done Tenny!

Racing today in the Maerdy midweek club, Tenny sent 14 birds. 4 Rasbull birds were in the group of 14. I am pleased to say that despite Tenny being out on a limb in terms of loft location the birds performed well. The Rasbull birds were 1st, 2nd and 3rd birds home to the loft. He confirmed this evening that he finished 6th Open from 400 birds. He also collected the pools of £55, which I am told went into his daughters money box!

Tenny's first bird was bred from 'Rasbull Ace Combine' a Doldersum pigeon purchased earlier this year when paired to 'Rasbull 02'. All 3 birds home were Grandchildren to our number 1 stock cock 'Rasbull Semtex'.

The big race is in just two weeks and the Rasbull birds are coming into fine form. The previous race they were 1st, 3rd and 4th from 14 entries and this week 1st, 2nd, 3rd home from 14 birds and 6th Open from 400 birds. Hopefully they can put up a great performance in the remaining races.
